This made me laugh.

Someone has been very busy creating a very good spoof of my blog and I must admit it has made me laugh (but not too much, mind. Wouldn't want anyone thinking I had a sense of humour or anything).

My wife had a look and said rather wryly 'someones got too much time on their hands'.

Of course this is connected to the previously referred to Westphalia-on-sea blog which has caused such amusement in political circles.

Most of the local political class have decided that the site and it's author(s) are closely connected with the local Lib Dem fraternity and although this is (fairly lamely) denied by them it is clear that even if they aren't responsible directly they must be providing much of the content.

It's good to know that their activity is these days confined to a parallel virtual universe because they sure as hell aren't doing very much in the real world.

I expect they are fed up with being laughed at whenever they go asking for votes.

Our local libdems are forever hiding behind their keyboards: no guts or gumption any of them. Still no response from Mrs Raikes and the IT people at the council about the disgraceful lying email sent out on 1 April and purporting to be from the Mayor.

The thing is I suspect they feel happier in an imaginary world where voters still think there is a point to the Lib Dems and residents have forgotten about their lamentable record in office.

Also they can kid themselves that it's all a conspiracy by the editor of the local newspaper (the new one, the old one who they thought wa sacked for demanding they all resign was adly replaced by somone whose views are.... exactly the same).

The Libdem masterplan is to become Local Loo Supremos. Just what is it with libdems and their obsessions with lavatories? Having closed them all while they were in power, they are now urging the Bay's small business people to allow facilities to be used as public urinals. I hope a list of restaurants doing just this is published forthwith, as I'll know to give them all an extremely wide berth. Can you imagine? An endless trail of feckless, drunks and druggies tramping past your table as you're trying to eat? Lovely!

The local political class (for that read the Torbay Tories) have decided it's Lib Dems behind Westphalia on Sea blog but without ANY evidence whatsoever.

And, no doubt another critic Mark Hellyer and his campaign will be derided as a LD front, despite Mark not being a Lib Dem.

As ever, Marcus doesn't let facts get in the way of another of his anti LD rants.

Oh, come on: who on earth CARES who's behind it. It's quite entertaining tosh, if you're in the mood. But tosh, nevertheless.
